TinyBar Guide
From screenshot to safe copy.
TinyBar has a short workflow: import an image, review the masks, then copy or save. These are the essentials for your first run.
Download1. Import an image
Drop a screenshot into the main window, paste from the clipboard, or choose Open. For routine use, process the current clipboard image from the menu bar.

2. Review detections
TinyBar looks for credentials, IDs, contact and payment details, QR codes, and network addresses. Clear risks are masked by default; uncertain items stay available for your decision.
- Toggle individual findings in the right-hand list
- Click text or draw a rectangle to add a manual mask
3. Pick a redaction style
Solid is best for definite concealment. Blur and pixelation preserve layout. Synthetic replaces content with a similar-looking value. Blur and pixelation include strength controls.
- The current style applies consistently to the image
- Synthetic mode can optionally preserve leading and trailing traits
4. Export and check
Use Copy Redacted Image to place the result on the clipboard, or save it from the export menu. Before sharing, check edges, QR codes, and low-contrast text once more.
- The original image is never overwritten
- Exports contain no TinyBar project data
Updates and troubleshooting
Check for updates from the TinyBar menu or Settings → General. If detection looks wrong, confirm the system language, image clarity, and enabled categories, then submit reproducible details through GitHub Issues.
- Automatic update checks can be disabled
- Remove real private information before reporting an issue
